I have two projects I'm editing right now and wondering if there's an easier way to manage it.
#1- Two camera shoot where the good audio was recorded on the A-cam. A few scenes have good audio on the B-cam as well.
#2- Two cam shoot plus audio recorded separately.
I've been using a sequence for each scene to sync up the two cameras and then pulling footage from those sequences to edit with. It's cumbersome at best. I much prefer to open the clip in the viewer and define in/out points and drag to my edit sequence from there, the only problem is that I won't have the right audio track all the time (#1) or never (#2).
Is there a better method? I know fcp has a multicam feature, but a quick look at it seemed like it was a lot of grunt work to get everything ready to go.
Should I just edit with the scratch audio track that each clip has and then sync it up with the good audio later?
Help!
