Multicam wireless shoot -- is it possible???

I do a lot of multicam live performance shoots with 3 dvx100s. My partner is convinced that we can set up 3 wireless transmitters and send each signal to 3 monitors so that we can at least direct our cameras (rather than telling em what we want and seeing what they come up with in the end) I saw the thread on the DYI wireless transmitter, but it seemed to only address one camera. Since we have 3 cameras, would it work to transmit each camera to 3 different monitors, so that a director can tell them what shots to go for? My guess is that the transmitters might interfere with each other and screw everything up. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Also it seems that wireless firewire is on the horizon with wireless high-bandwidth bluetooth. Any thoughts on that?

Peace,

Run some cheap long RCA cables. It'll be infinitely more reliable, higher quality, and will let the person doing the monitoring really know what they're getting.

If your cameras are moving (and not stationary) then bring along an extra person as a cable puller.

Wireless transmitters can be either cheap, or good. Not both. The price for a good unit is very high.

You can do wireless, you just set them to different channels/frequencies. We did a movie this way a few months back with 4 cams.

Barry,

Would it be cheaper to run coax cable with the appropriate fittings for RCA cables on the ends?
