does anyone know if multicam pro 2 works good , stable, in premiere pro with matrox rtx100 card. anyone know where i can get it cheap?

thank you

Wait a week and a half and you can edit multicam in Premiere Pro 2.0. There's also a good way to sync up multicam shoots and edit them in Jacob Rosenberg's book Premiere Pro 1.5 Studio Techniques. I love the book.

ok to get this clear, multicam is in pro 2.0 already? how come adobe website says nothing about this?

Because Adobe doesn't let anyone know until the actual release date is upon us. Don't ask me why, it's stupid.

thank you guys you just saved me $9000.00, i wanted to buy a final cut pro studio power mac g5 as a second system, but mostley for the multicam. thank you.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that adobe did a better job with multicam than they did when they introduced 24p support in PP1.5...

try editing 24p normal F5 footage from the DVX - has strobing issues. Only way to get around it is to use the Matrox .X100 because it forces the 24p footage to play properly. PPro 2 should be a whole new version unlike 1.0 to 1.5 - like AE 5 to 6.

Ok so my burning question is 2.0 an upgrade from 1.5 or a whole new version?

It depends on your definition of an upgrade.

The original Premiere Pro was a whole new version built from scratch, it costs a lot to do that and there was no reason in this case.
it's an upgrade since it's based on the code from 1.5.1 but it has enough serious additions and changes to get a new version number.

with this new version premiere pro is now a serious consideration for any professional post studio (with better support for digibeta, D5, RS-232 and RS-422)

Also from what I heard ppro 2 finaly adds the posibility to capture in offline quality which is very important to me since I'm working on projects with lots of material

seems like it's really worth the 200$ upgrade
