Multicam editing with P2 files - timecode

Hello.

I recently got footage of an event captured by three different cameras. The cameras were not continuously recording, so what i have is basically 50-60 clips from each camera that covers a 2 hour timespan.

all the clips have timecode, so i was wondering if there was a decent way to sync them all up in premiere?

Hm, timecode won't help you there as they're dependent on the individual recording time of each camera so none of them will match up. You're gonna have to do it the hard way, by sound and visual clues.

I guess that's my problem: i've never really worked wth timecode before. :)

sorry you got sucked into this, but...

how do i change the starting timecode of my sequence, and then how do i get the clips in one track to sync up with the sequence's timecode?

okay, i figured out how to change the zero point of my sequence, but how do i make clips appear at the proper timecode spot? :) thank you!

Hey man, we shoot cycle road races and we do this,

Drop the "timecode" effect onto a clip, change the drop down from clip to "media" and copy that effect to all clips, visually sync the TC now showing on the clip to the timelines tc ,

then if your in cs4 select all clips and right click and select "remove effects"

PV,

Thanks a lot for the help, and that's definitely what I plan on doing once i get all the clips in the right spot...

but let's say i have 10 separate clips from one camera that i want to be synched up with the sequence's timecode...

how can i get those clips from the bin into the sequence and have them be at the right time code in an easy fashion?

is there an easy way to get a clip with a timecode of 12:12:11:09 to start at the same timecode in the sequence?
