Multi Clip editing

I have two camera angles I am trying to edit using in points to synch them up. Problem is when following the manual (setting in points) it does not seem to work.
I loaded a track in the time line and found a good spot to set a in point. I put the curser on that spot and press I on the key board and set a in point in the time line.
Then I put the second track (camera angle) on the time line and found the same spot to put a in point on that track and press I on the key board and the original in point arrow moves to the new in point.

This does not seem right. What am I doing wrong?? I thought there would be two in points that would be used to sync the tracks in a multi clip...........

if u dont know how to edit multicamera, first load clip in viewer then mark in point, again load another clip in viewer and mark in point, then edit clips into timeline, start editing. even u can perform multicamera editing directly. after mark in select both clips in browser, control clik and select make multiclip, then load that multiclip in viewer, and start editing

Thank you! I was setting a in point on the time line......Not in the edit window. The manual makes no reference to the edit window.
