Can I shoot an event with one camera shooting AVCHD at 1080p and another shooting 720p, second camera being a JVC HD-110. Will I have problems in post. Or should I shoot 720 on both cameras?

I personally would shoot with the same specs on both cameras. Same resolution, same frame rate, both interlaced or both progressive.

You could use 720p 60i on the HMC150, and use that camera for slow motion footage, while the JVC HD110, can be set to 24p.

The info on the JVC page is difficult to accurately discern. On one page it says the camera can do "Full HD", which technically means 1920 x 1080 progressive. On another page the site says it can only record up to 720p. On that same page it says it can do 720p/24, which is a normal HD spec. But it also lists 720p/30, which is not a normal HD spec (won't go to Blu-ray as is), and it can't do 720p/60, which is the normal HD spec.

It's very confusing, but I still think you should do your best to match all specs on both cameras.

24p JVC capture is hell. I think that having both cameras at 30p or at 60i is a bigger concern that the 720 or 1080 question. JVC is 720 only.

All right, then 720p 24p for the HMC150, and 720p 60i (shutter 100-125) on the JVC should work out fine for you, for both aspects of shooting and editing.
