Doing my first real shoot with the DVX and a bunch of other cameras. It is called the Wearable Art Gala with 45 entries and a big rave. I have a bunch of other cameras 2Vx1000's, 1 PD 150, and 2 DV shitboxes in addition to my DVX. I will also be shooting with my Glidecam V8 at this event and hopping over to my sticks when I get to tired. I will have so much footage it will be hard to F@#! up. I've got my model releases, batteries charged... I'm ready to goooooo

(Nothing like being 45y.o. and going to a rave...)

Rehersals tomorrow, shoot Saterday Night....
i won't be able to post anything for a few weeks as I will be away....may the power of DVX User be with me... ;D

Good deal! Have fun! You are only as old as you feel. Are you going to be shooting 24p or all 60I? 8)

Elvis 24p on mine, 29.97 on the others. Then wank with it hard in post...

Taylor have you ever checked out www.dvfilm.com they have a deinterlace program for about $100.00 plus a real good section on the dvx100 8)

you gotta either shoot your dvx in 30i or use magic bullet or dvfilmmaker to convert the 60i stuff to 24p.. cause the mix will look like crap..

Good luck anyways! where is this thing?

Thanx Jarred and Elvis, I will be buying the DVFilmmaker to help the other footage because the DVX is staying on 24p baby...have any of you guys used the DVfilmmaker utility...

The shoot is in Kelowna at the Actor Studio...gonna be fun.
Dress rehersal tonight, shoot tomorrow night.

I use it all the time.. I kinda hate quicktime though.. its a fantastic program, and version #2 is coming out soon.

Version 2 has been out for a bit now Jarrad. Better grab your upgrade.

Taylor they have a trial version you can check out. It just has there logo as a watermark. If I can find a cheep place to stay I will. Any ideas? 8)

Thanx Elvis....yeah I downloaded it and gave it a try...didn't have good footage to test it out though but will test tomorrow...good to know it will be a 24p complete project.

Elvis what does this mean?
If I can find a cheep place to stay I will. Any ideas

Hey so the fashion shoot went pretty well, but not fantastic...
The lighting was theatrical lighting so it was irregular with hotspots. Learned alot but that was the main purpose of this for me...

I was able to be super human and operated the Glidecam V8 with my secret agent back mount for 2 sets running 50 minutes each ...very happy about that!!! No back pain today...but was very tired at end of shoot and had sweat like 50 lbs off.

I will post some pix in a couple of weeks as I am going away.

Elvis ...regarding NAB I am crashing with some friends...but lets hook up for beers!!! :o
