Multi cam audio noise when passing different camera angles.

I am switching between cameras and the sound is set to the main camera. When playing back you can here a click when crossing camera angle cuts. The sound shows the main camera. Is this just because it is not trans coded yet?

So your audio is simple one angle all the way through, after you do the multicam edit, eh?
I'd output that Project timeline and play it in QT Player and see if you can hear it. I could just be your hardware trying to keep up. What format is the video in the multicam? What Mac are you on, RAM, GPU, drive configuration?

Thank you BenB for your quick reply. I output to QT and the noise didn't change. For some reason the FCPX reports it doesn't recognize the format for the audio of the DVX100a. I re edited the multi cam with the D7000 as the main audio and it sounds normal between camera angle changes. Edit: I am getting Unsupported Clip in Channel Configuration, and am unable to apply audio enhancements. This is happening with some D7000 clips and the DVX100a.

Ben what would be the proper workflow prior to multi cam editing? I am missing something here. I can't even find the fade handles for the separate audio clips after multi cam editing.

What bit rate and sample rate was the audio recorded at?
What codec is the audio in?
Are you optimizing your media?
What are your editing hardware specs?

FCP X multicam is very deep. I strongly recommend the Ripple Training course on it to really understand it fully.

48k 16bit, 48k on the Nikon's also.
Not sure of the codec of the DVX100a or Nikon D7000's.
Media is optimized.
2009 MBP 2.6gh core 2, 8gb ram, 500gb hd, external 1tb, 500gb hd's.
I have and use the ripple training, however I purchased it right after it came out, it has nothing on multi cam.
Stabilization is not available on the multi cam track (time line) either, this leads me to believe it is not an audio problem and is directly related to FCPX.
