Multi C??amera Editing in Premiere?

hey.

i do a fair amount of live shows and before i would typically just shoot the show from start to finish from one good location with the camera locked down.

i have two dvx's now and a long time ago i heard about some multicamera utility for premiere pro that made it a lot easier.

does anyone have any info on mixing multiple cameras into a premiere project?

doing it by hand in premiere is rather tedious.

thanks for the tip, this software looks really good.

i wish they had a demo so i could make sure. i do a good number of live shows but they are all for friends who are in bands or another friend who is getting her masters in dance.

I've done a couple of multicam gigs as well. I usually bring my digital camera or camera flash with me. Start rolling tape on both/all cameras, walk into the field of view of all cameras and fire off the flash. It gives you a perfect point in time to sync everything up to.
After digitizing your footage, place each camera clip on a seperate timeline. For two cameras, reduce size of both to 50% and move camera (1) to the left of the screen, camera (2) to the right and then you can easily sync up both tracks to the flash because you'll see both cameras at the same time side by side.

thats a pretty good idea, i never heard of the flash method.

the syncing of the two cameras the way barry shows in his book is a great way.
