miracom said:Looks pretty good. 82 lumens per watt if their specs are right. Not too bad. Why don't you try it out. Just need an MR-16 on camera adapter.
Carlos_E._Martinez said:You said the right words: 82 lumens per watt if their specs are right. That's one of things I would like to know.
psts said:Wow I never saw those before! I wonder if the specs are correct though. I was wondering about this 5 watt led that i saw which looks similar. My Frezzi mini fill takes mr16's and I always wondered about these Led's in them. One thing to be aware though about the "240" lumen mr16 is that it's 30 degrees. that's pretty narrow and might look a bit like a flashlight. i find with on camera lights, the wider the better.

Yes I do have one of these lamps. I'm very impressed. It puts out a great deal of light and with diffusion it can be made very soft.
No I haven't tried them on the I light, in fact I hope you didin't make a mistake buying the I light. The I light doesn't take the 2 pin MR16 type bulb, the Prolight does but it's AC not DC. The I light takes a spade type connector similar to a fog light on a car (the H-3 type bulb).
Gary said:Yes I do have a commercial made housing for the MR-16. It is a 12 volt light that I have had for years. It came with a 20 watt halogen bulb.
The Pro lights have a 3 prong AC plug and use a 2 pin (same style as the pins on the MR16) Halogen bulb up to 250 watts.
The I Light has a cigerette ligher plug and uses a spade type connector like a H3 bulb for fog lights. The bulb is a max of 100 watts.
To answer your question about the 300 watt bulb in the Pro Light, you could probably use any wattage bulb as long as it is a 2 pin type halogen bulb. Lowel does not show anything higher than 250 watt. That being said, I can't imagine 300watt bulb would hurt much, just keep an eye out for smoke LOL.
