Mr. Bale Apologizes

I've got a funny feeling that this thread isn't going to be as popular as the other.
Actually, I don't think it needs its own thread. :)

I'm just glad that he apologized and admitted that he was completely out of line.

That was quite good of him. Hopefully he'll learn from this and treat his crew with just a little more respect in the future.

*shrug*

A non-ending to a non-issue.

I guess it's harmless if it somehow makes people feel better.

Wait...who did what now? I fell on my head trying to take down some Christmas lights and can't remember what happened earlier this week.

That's good. But for awhile I just wanted to walk around and randomly blurt out "Are you a professional or not!" Although I find the line "We are done professionally" to be kind of funny. Is that like, were done professionally but we can go get pizza and chill any other time.

Definetly.

How often does this stuff occur on set?

Never, frequently, hourly, or daily.

Depends upon the particular set.

I think that one is 'done professionally' when the juices run clear and the skin is crispy.

Bale's explanation:

In [T2] you will meet Sarah Connor. And she is in an insane asylum—why is she there? Because she is crazy. Now I play John Connor her son, and on the day that all of this happened, the scene that we were doing, I was trying to show a little of that in-the-blood craziness, and it went a little wrong... I took it way too far, and I completely mixed up fact and fiction. I'm half John Connor, I'm half Christian there.

and more:

And another thing: a lot of people say that I was a bully to this guy. That's an insult to Shane. He is a big guy. I couldn't have bullied that guy if I tried. He's much bigger than me—he's an ex-friggin football player.

This just reinforces my observation that most successful Hollywood actors are clinically insane.
I interview many of them, work side by side with them on sets for a living and few are sane. Not saying that it is bad or good, it just is fact. It all goes back to the Jimi Hendrix experience (his life, no, not the band). When people keep telling you you are a god, you start to believe it.

Hence in the days of media worship, most successful actors begin to believe that they live on a higher plane than the mere mortals on the crew. You get a bit of this with hot directors and producers as well but nowhere near at the level as from the actors.
