MPEG 2 w/ embedded audio

I've got FCP 5, Cleaner 6, Quicktime Pro 7, and Compressor.

I can't figure out how to make an MPEG 2 with embedded audio. I know it must be possible because I just watched one.

Please help!

thanks

If I remember correctly you can use TMPGenc to split and or join video audio.

I would check into that. It comes with a 30 trial for the mpg2 part of it, but the rest stays active, including the tool.

Click file/mpeg tools then choose the multiplex and choose MPG2 program. Add your files and choose your output. That should do it.

Good luck,

That would be great to use TMPGENC but there is no MAC version available.

I'm not familiar with Compressor, but there should be a preset for converting DV to mpeg-2 DVD. The file should create 2 files, a video track and an audio track. to Mux the files (or combine them) You'll need an mpeg-2 combining (or muxing) tool.
There may be an option in compressor to create a DVD muxed filed (one with the video and audio track combined in an .mpeg file) However, it has been over 2 years since i've used it.
