when we use quicktime conversion in FCP6 to make an mpeg2 ....it creates 2 diff files on the desktop, one is video and the other is audio...it seems that wont work for the upload to the web that we have in mind...(lyes, we have tried compressor...thats a whole nother story as it keeps telling us to restart the computer etc...we havent had much luck with compressor since fcp5..but thats a diff story) anyway,, any advice on how to get an mpeg2 that has its audio with it?---
thanks again!.........

Why would you ever use mpeg2 for the web? QT's version of mpeg 2 is for DVDs... not muxed together for single point broadcast like the web. Use mpeg4's h.264 for the web.

I use Broadband High as the basis of my export out of FCP.

bc the faq's on the web site we're being asked to upload to said mpeg2 is the best quality..dont know if thats even true...but although they said they will handle any format , they seemed to want/like mpeg2 best....i will however for take your advice and see if i can do the mpeg4 approach tomorrow...thanks, cap'n....i am sure i speak for many "juniors" when i say that the "seniors" on this site have saved us from insomnia on many nights!

And as long as you're willing to do your due diligence first, there are few that can help you more than the Capt. (Major)
