I'm converting a 720x486 uncompressed 10 bit sequence to mpeg 2 settings for 90 minute best quality DVD.
In the geometry pane under crop I select custom and try to set the values to zero. The Top converts to 4 and bottom to 2. I thought it would crop automatically to make it 720x480 by cropping top 2 and bottom 4. Shouldn't I leave all the values at 0 then and why won't it let me!?
Under the Video Format tab should I check frame rate to be 29.97 even though my timeline was cut in 23.98? If I leave it at 23.98 I can't select GOP size to be 15, it goes right to 12. Isn't the GOP size 12 for Pal and 15 for NTSC?
Also, this is a 65 minute film do you think I should have job segmenting checked? There aren't a lot of transitions, but if it doesn't hurt to have it checked I know it will go faster, but I don't want to sacrifice quality.
