i have an mp4 video file that is 352x288. it is 26 minutes long.
i want to put it on youtube. so, i imported it into FCP 4.5.
it made me re-render to a workable form. i cut it up.
i output the first 8 minutes back to an mp4 of 352x288.
alas, it was a tiny video window within a black window.
so i figured i had to get the video to full size first then save it as a new
mp4 at 352x288. so in fcp i resized the video to fit the full screen in the
canvas window. then output the 8 minute clip back to an mp4 at 352x288.
now the image is slightly elongated in the vertical direction. aka, not the same framing as the original mp4. is there an easy way to chop up this clip into 3 pieces and output
3 files that look as much like the original file as possible? (both in compression and framing.)
thanks.
