MP3 AUDIO Problems

Alright, here's the deal. When I import MP3's into FCP, and drag em' onto the timeline, most of the MP3's have this weird popping, skipping kind of effect to the audio. It's really odd, does anyone know why this is happening?
It's "rendered" as far as I know, but is there another way I'm suppose to do it?
I hope someone can help me out, cause' I have to finish my show asap.
Thanks.

I would recommend converting those MP3s to AIFFs.

I've had the same issue with MP3s, which is why I use them for scratch audio, but always bring in AIFFs for my final render.
If you do that you won't have any 'popping' issues.

Yep- No MP3s in FCP is a good mantra. Open in the QT player and export as 48Khz, 16-bit AIF first then use those. No popping.
