Moving to Toronto

I leave my home town of Montreal tomorrow morning to start a new life in Toronto with my girlfriend.

Just reaching out to see how many of you reside there, and even more so those who are working in the industry in either IATSE or the DVD.

Holler back!

Hey welcome to Toronto Papa,

http://vistek.ca/provideo/
is the best brick'n'clicks video gear source in the city.

The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) rents film and digital cameras, CP2 primes, mattboxes etc

Pubs where you'll likely find people to talk shop with:

This hardware store may look like a Home Hardware franchise from the outside, but the owner has actually bought out an electronic component store and added all its stock to his. Batteries large and small, cases, raw cable, connectors, most ICs etc. And sprinklers, and keys cut. Brilliant.

And of course that once gloriously grungy but now gentrified surplus institution:

All opinions, experiences are my own of course others will have different ones hopefully.

Cheers,
Craig
