Latin Content > what he means is there is a setting within vegas' text tool itself. Something like your microsoftword spacing between letters. That can be adjusted to give any spacing between your generated text media. I think the button maybe called tracking. Dont remember because i hardly use vegas' text. Due to some pixellation problems i was having. Anyway. You can then move the time slider in the bottom of the same panel where you are adjusting your spacing and then go back to the spacing button and make it a larger value. Now vegas will create an animated effect where as you play down your timeline the text will also start spreading. Alternately you can use a photoshop text image. And then i guess by unlocking the maintain aspect you can cause it to spread by just adjusting in the pan and crop area. This way you can maintain high quality text. But the letters wont actually spread in this case. They will stretch. But i think for the effect your looking at you may not be able to make out the difference. Try it out and let us know.
In the text editor box, go to the "Properties" tab. You'll see some sliders toward the bottom -- one of the is "Tracking."
You'll also see a little timeline at the bottom. Select the point where you want the effect to begin -- say, all the letters are normal. Then, you select the point where you want the effect to end -- say, all the letters are bunched together. You use the Ttracking slider to bunch them together. If your cursor is on the right spot, a keyframe will automatically be created where you need it to be.
