moving H.264 from CS5 to FCP

I've been editing 1080p H.264 native in PPro, and I need to find the best option to:

a) archive the footage
b) post online to Vimeo
c) transfer to FCP ( 7 or 10)

So far, I've also been exporting as H.264 (media encoder presets for Vimeo and HDTV 1080p), but I can't imagine that this is best way to go about it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Archive the footage by copying it on to any hard drive, or LTO tape.
To post online to Vimeo, use the Vimeo presets from Adobe Media Encoder.
If you have FCP on the system, you could export the footage as Pro-Res for import into FCP.
