How do you move an entire line of events over to the right if you want to add events say in the beginning? Right now im moving them bit by bit and its time consuming heh

Several ways as tends to happen in Vegas...
1) put cursor at point you want to add events, from menu bar "insert"/"time" and type in type gap you want to insert.
2) put cursor on left-most event on timeline, right click +"n" and move/drag the whole line as needed
3) As David says, have ripple edit enabled, choose the event you want to insert BUT with a right click and drag to location...It should shuffle events along....(actually not sure if you need ripple edit enabled for this last option...)
