Hey everybody, I'm working on a feature length film in premiere cs3 and I want to add some clips in , in like the middle of my timeline.I don't want to go and have to highlight everything after that point just to slide it down. Is there a short cut as to how I can just razor where I want to and just slide down the remaining timeline so I can create space for my new clips.

so many clips to highlight in the remaining timeline. wow I would really appreciate any type of idea how to avoid this?

Use the Track Select Tool. The Track Select Tool allows you to move *all* clips in one go to the right of it. If you have clips on more than one (1) video/audio track, hold down the Shift key since it will allow you to move clips on multiple tracks as well. When you press down the Shift key when the Track Select Tool is active you will see that its icon changes to indicate that it will move more tracks than one.

do you have to highlight all the clips to move them? if so thats what I'm trying to avoid I would like to highlight the clip after my new clips and just shift all of it to the right. highlighting all the clips is the problem b/c i have audio clips and transitions that I don't want to go through and highlight.

No, you dont need to highlight clips manually when using the Track Select Tool since it do it for you. :)

You can also use the Selection Tool in conjunction with the Ctrl-key to do an Insert Edit without any need to move any clips since an Insert Edit do it by default.

Use the solution that you like most! Try it on a new Timeline to get comfortable with how it works. :)
