movies you feel guilty about liking

LOL Everytime David says something I look at his Avatar. LMAO

I agree; Thunderdome is a guilty pleasure, Road Warrior is not!

Thunderdome is definitely guilty, but I still love it. I'd love to see a 4th road warrior, but doesn't look like that'll happen anytime soon.

I can't turn off The Terminator OR Bull Durham if I happen to catch them. Not bad movies, but they are both getting a little long in the tooth. The real killer for me though is Two Lane Blacktop from the 70s, with James Taylor and the late Dennis Wilson from the Beach Boys. I can't help it... the car is cool, and the concept is pretty cool, but it is the absolute worst acting and production ever. And I mean ever.

Really. Ever. The scene where they are both in the car driving, "discussing" the jets in the carburetor. Talk about taking 4 minutes for a scene that could have been done better in 8 seconds. The whole movies like that, but I have to suffer through it everytime I catch it, Its a good thing JT can sing, thats all I can say.

I feel like a total fanboy dork, but there's something about the Friday the 13th series that really appeals to me. I think it's more nostalgia, because I used to watch them all the time as a kid.

BTW, speaking of Jay and Silent Bob, I notice youre from the Mallrats mall town.

I'm actually serving a one year ban from that mall at the moment. Mall security doesn't take too kindly to people shooting stuff without their permission.

John Boorman's Zardoz. It's so bad but enjoyable in a sixties campy scifi way.

I *loved* That movie!

Made me realize why my cult parents joined the cult and had me as a kid. I was supposed to help usher in the 2nd coming of Christ.

Boy was *I* I disappointment to them. :P

Awesome! Good work. Is there even anything in that mall? The last time I was there, half the mall was empty (granted, it's been quite awhile).

I like movies that move me emotionally Titanic being one...Unbearable lightness of being, Doctor Zhivago and the list goes on. Movies where no one gets shot, beaten, blown up or otherwise mutilated will always be a special part of my collection.
You speak my mind... Unbearable Lightness of Being... a very special place in my heart.

My guilty pleasures:

City Slickers
Pretty Woman
First Contact
...plus about fifty others

...I forgot Amadeus, but that movie is so good, I don't even have to feel guilty about watching it for 254th time.

To mix threads, I thought First Contact had a brilliant score.

One that implied a much better movie than it actually was . . .

Actually, about four years ago the mall got a complete makeover so now it does huge business. Well, huge business with the exception of me, of course....:(

If you like it, you like it, but what’s “smart” about “The Core”?

(Pleeeeease don’t tell me it’s because you lust after Hilary Swank.)

Absolutely nothing is smart about the movie, but it tries to be, thats what makes it so fun. They throw out so much ludicrous pseudo science that just makes no sense, basing it on real science, I just love it.

And yeah I totally lust after hilary swank. In another oxymoron,
she is absolutely the hottest ugly chick I've ever seen!

:D

I agree with Lucidz....She's super ugly..especially after Million Dollar Baby..which btw i thought was a good movie...but it was somewat a knock off of the Rocky series in a way...
