Movies shot in your area.

Any big movies that have been shot in your area? and everytime you're down that street or in that building it feels.. kind of empty?
The weirdest thing for me is. I go to the school they shot "Pay it Forward", and oddly enough, last year I was in the classroom where they filmed some scenes.

movies seem to overpopulate areas with exta's.

Apparently the car-off-the-cliff scene from Groundhog's Day was shot in a quarry in my home town... I didn't hear about it until afterwards... I don't think anything has been filmed where I am living now.

Clerks, at the store I used to frequent on the way to High School. Chasing Amy, all over Red Bank where I used to hang out on weekends (buying stuff at Jack's and such). Likewise, the latter part of Dogma.

The Sci-Fi channel hit Larva was shot in the city in which I live. That's our biggest claim to fame ... that and we're 30 miles north of Branson. :embarasse

I live in Toronto, so there's usually some big feature shooting around the city. A friend of mine was an actor in "Good Will Hunting", and another played a small part in "The Day After Tomorrow".

I live in Santa Clarita, and a lot of TV Shows shoot out here. 24 shoots out here a lot, and CSI also. They used my house for a CSI episode. Not sure if you guys saw it. It was called CCCHHANGES... not the best episode (had a somewhat offensive subject matter) But, our house looked awesome on TV!

Red Dawn from 1984 with Patrick Swayze was filmed at a high school right outside the town I live in, in southern Colorado.

I'm a huge 24 fan too! Actually they filmed at my friend's apartment complex, and blew up a car (at the end of season 4). My friend got a piece of the destroyed car for me!!!
