Hey Hudson remember when you used to do this?

Well we've talked about all the other ones I rented...But here's three recent rents I haven't seen discussion about.

Saved, Immortal, and Criminal

Saved, you can read the description, just wondering if anyone else saw it?

But Immortal was a weird one, it used CGI characters, green screen environments, and live actors...weird story...I think it was made in France too. Anybody see this?

Criminal was produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh...it's a remake of a spanish film...Maggie Gyllenhaal and John C Reilly...it had it's good parts. Anyone catch this one?

(oh and I finally got to see Primer, forgot all about it, then saw it on the shelf, I loved it, got it from the beginning, but my family and all my friends were lost, and hated it) Definitely not main stream...

Tonight; My son and I watched...........................

The Goonies. He had never seen it and I'm always making him watch classics so he doesnt turn out to be some kind of asshole (haha). I hadnt seen this film since the 80's. Weird. Still oved it. Corny, but in a good way.

Yeah Goonies is a classic. My friends and I still quote the most confusing line in a kids film, Delivered by non other than Sam aka Rudy aka Sean Astin,

"But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here."

I could just see how many kids in the 80's going "so here is their time there, but here there's only their time here....wait...WHAT THE HELL DID HE JUST SAY???" haha :)

Tomorrow night I make my son watch AIRFORCE ONE. Tonight he said "Is that the one with Han Solo?" and I said "Yes, and Indiana Jones." and he said "Why?"

That's his typical "Daddy, why this why that..."

I'm like "Son; it's like when we make films. They play dress up and his real name is Harrison Ford."

"Why?"

Sigh.
 
"Daddy and his filmmaking friends like Harrison Ford."
"Why?"
"Because Harrison Ford is a great actor."
"Why?"
"He's been in some of the best films. I mean he delivered great lines like "It's not the years honey, it's the mileage. He's just good."
"Why?"
"Because Harrison Ford is the man."
"Why?"
"Why is he the man...I don't know...Because he's white?...wait, daddy didn't say that!"
