Movie Trailer - Flight 93 .... too soon?

This trailer told me nothing about the movie. I may or may not see it. But that is only based on knowing before hand what the movie is about. The trailer didn't excite me about seeing it.

the trailer was extremly vague, mabye it was just a teaser? im not sure, but im sure its going to stir up lots on controversey

I agree with cheese, well i would need to see the trailer to really make a decision, but no facts about that flight have ever really been displayed to the public, and we (and mabye the goverment) may not know exactly what EXACTLY happened on that flight, therefore this film is ONE mans interpretation, and living only 30 minutes outside NYC i know many people were affected, and will have a hard time dealing with films of this subject. Although it seems the concept of the film is how the people of the flight stopped the plane from killing more, who knows, this are just my thoughts, my rambles...

movies are the reflection of time, when strong events like this are tackled i woudlnt catagorize it as 'just a movie', this will be the first feature to tackle the events of 9/11, no major production house has yet done this..

look as the history for our past century and how films have reflected times of depression, war, romance, etc, theres a lot more to it than just pictures and sound.

i think my film history class made me think too much

There's a simple solution... Don't see it if it bothers you that much.
I lived in New York my entire life and I know people that lost friends and family in the towers.
Personally, I'm glad they're finally making pictures about the events and I'll be the first in line to see them, and of course there is going to be somebody who complains and stirs up controversy because that's what people like to do for some reason.
I mean would it really make a difference if it's made now or two years from now, there's still going to be someone complaining.
And that's enough of this rant on this subject.

Cmon people, this is just a freaking movie. Besides, this movie looks like its going to suck, im sure the film will be just like the teaser, nothing going on for an hour and a half then at the last 20 minutes there will be mild action. Besides Paul Greengrass is a terrible filmmaker for thos who have seen The Bourne Supremacy. So this shouldnt be debated, dont worry about it, honestly.

I think so; but maybe I'm also becoming less sensitive to such trivia. :undecided

For me; it's just a movie. In WW2 they released movie after movie during the war (Obviously for the magical hurrah support) but in this modern age we have become a nation of pu**ies I think; is it too soon?

For what ? People die everyday, tradegy's happen every single day. 9 / 11 was no different than 'Martha in Ohio losing her son to a game of Pop Warner' in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not saying 1 year later make a flick; but it's been almost 4 1/2 years.

Life goes on.

Our country is too concerned with PC. Bitches.

This is gunna stir up more "controversy" than The Passion of the Christ, even though it shouldn't.

I'm just glad they're finally allowed to make movies about hijacked planes again. I guess this means Chuck Palahniuk's Survivor will be made into a film soon.

Not that i am going to offended by this, but in the discussion of film and time, some could say it is.

People do die everyday, but this is one of our nations biggest (dare i say) advertised tragedy, since i can remeber being born (now i'm only 20, but 20 years its the biggest impact i've seen of tragedy and such an affect on our nation)

Tragedy does happen everyday, and thats the great thing about films, and the whole revolution we are all apart of. Independent filmmaking allows us to document a time, and for some revolutionary documentarians to show tragedy where the attnention it should be getting is not there.

It is 4 1/2, but it feels like just yesterday for me and i some i feel, time flies.

Our country is PC, but whatever , **** it

smoke weed, get drunk, pass out, black out, have sex, do drugs play rock and roll loud

My(final) .02

I agree totally. Every day since and too many to count before this event, millions have died for stupid reasons and gone totally unnoticed because they weren't in the spotlight or part of any particular turf. Look how many died in Bhopal India at the hands of a large corporation the numbers are astounding. For me, you could make the damned film the day after said event and it wouldn't matter. After all we wouldn't hold back reporting the event on TV for ten years would we, we want to see it as it unfolds! A film in its own right reports the happenings of an event through the eyes of the film maker as a historical report, I don't see much difference.
