Movie testing for HUGE budget movies

I'm just not comprehending your argument. If you are saying that Psych was a great story then why EXACT remake of Psycho was not? The story haven't changed. The EXECUTION of the story have. So it's not only the stories that make good film but also how they are EXECUTED.

I agree. Part of what makes a good movie is how a good story is put on the screen by a good production team including the director, DP, sound design, editor, etc.

I have never argued that the only important element is the story.

I think the remake of Psycho was still a good story.
