Movie sound on a budget for a Doc.

Technic wise I don't really need any advice. I need as someone said to capture voices as a small budget movie collects them or as much as possible in a less planned setting like a doc. I was looking at a field recorder and possibly a wired (as wireless is not nessecary) But I want a mic that picks up sounds in the field as well. I know a lot of sound is added later in movies but someone has to record it as well and much is recorded on loaction. So what is a budget options for a movie mic and field recorder. Any ideas.
Starting with your original post, people have tried to give you some good advice and you have chosen to not like their responses, and in the process, alienated the folks trying to help you. Many of the folks here are serious professionals who donate their time to help others. Anyone who hangs here very much has seen this crap routine a hundred times.

Along the way, you told us you don't need any advice regarding technic, that you are going to do a documentary with a DSLR (= sound hassle from the beginning), and you want killer sound by buying a mic or two and a Zoom. From the nature of your questions, it is obvious you need more help than you are aware of. I guarantee you will figure this out given some time.

A Google search or reading the stickies would have given you the one word you wanted: Schoeps. Overall, they make the mics that record that killing sound the most. And in the hands of someone with great technic, you will get killer sound from one. Now you might have to consider which one......and what to do with it.

It's simple... there's only one rule

"Sound ALWAYS has to be recorded AS PERFECT AS POSSIBLE.

Unfocuse image, crazy light, crazy frames, crazy setdressing, crazy make up --> it's all ART
even when it are mistakes (out of focus, lamp in image,) --> ART

Bad sound, sound that sounds like in a cave, lot's of reverb, lot's of "room sounds" --> BIG MISTAKES

EVERYTHING that sounds reverb, echo, crazy is ALL done in post. The funny voice from an alien... sounding like he always speaks as being in a church... --> POST

Et voila, that's it !
