Movie script or idea, irrelevant camera type

Does anyone have a movie script or idea that is so good it doesn't matter what type of camera it is shot on? Less than $100k budget.

I understand lots of people have scripts but that's not my question. All the money / best cams in the world wouldn't do most of them justice.

Anyone have a Slumdog story that can be shot on anything, a story so captivating it dosen't matter?

A hero is presented with a challenge. He struggles against this challenge and, despite setbacks, in the end finally succeeds. Learning a valuable lesson about life and/or the world along the way.

:-)

It always matters. The key is to have a story where it's a strength to shoot shakycam low quality video. Blair Witch set this off with success. The project was originally turned in as a final. Quaranteen comes to mind. While they spent millions on the movie, lord knows it wasn't required for that script.
Almost all of my documentaries are shot with no regard to what they were shot on. I have a show called Beyond Backstage in which it's biggest selling point is that it's shot on miniDV by the bands themselves.

I think a couple of members here do. I assume you're talking feature-length?

Also, while these forums can be occasionally tech-obsessed, remember that there are some digital cameras out there that record in either 20fps or super-small resolutions. Both limitations would submarine many, if not most movies.

But I'm sure you realize how loaded your question is. My follow-up question would be this: why do you ask?

Yea, it's a loaded question that was't ment to be loaded so, how about a Scarlet for the minimum cam (like that :) a cam that's not even out yet) or a hpx170 with adapter, no, let's make it a Scarlet however if the story called for a stealth style of shooting then a 7D. I ment a story that didn't have to be shot on 35mm, Viper or F23.

I am asking because I want to see what's out there. Then go from there.

How about this, if someone has a low budget masterpeice then I will read thier F*cking script :)

Of course, if someone has a screenplay so brilliant that it doesn't matter if it's produced using a low-end consumer camera, then it's probably sufficiently brilliant to get picked up for big $$$ and produced using high-end professional resources.

Go over to twoadverbs.com and see if there is anyone there who is interested.

I have one that can be shot on a single-chip, consumer level camcorder -- but you do need decent quality sound. It can definitely be done for $100k, or even less. It's unique. Challenging for the actors. And one Hollywood actress has called it "a near perfect script".

And it's for sale! PM me.

EDIT: where in m beach do you live? Gotta lot of cat turds 3 blocks away, not sure if I can go through with that agian.

Say What?????
