Movie of the year?

[Eric Boellner]

King's Speech was very well done. Watched City Island tonight, excellent film as well. Among two of my favorites of the year.

City Island was great. I wouldn't put it anywhere near my favorites list, for 2010 or any other year, but it was definitely a very enjoyable experience, with some fun twists and truly awesome acting.

My top 5 would be:

Black Swan
Inception
The Social Network
The King's Speech
The American

Just saw The Town...it was quite similar to Heat. Good...not great.

At this point, I'd put my money on The Social Network or Black Swan.

The Fighter was MY movie of the year. Will check out The King's Speech this week.

True Grit, Social Network. I haven't seen either but I have a good feeling for both.

Interesting - those were my top two also, and I have seen them both.

Harry Potter was a great movie of 2010..

It was definitely a good year for movies. I enjoyed Inception, Black Swan, Rabbit Hole, Barney's Version (probably my #1 currently), Monsters and The Social Network. While Harry Potter was very well done, it wouldn't make my top movies of 2010 list. I still have to see True Grit and Blue Valentine. Will make a point to see them this week and report back.

I really want to see Barney's Version, but it's not playing anywhere within a 60-mile radius of me. <sigh>
