Movie Maker Trumps PP CS4?!! Time Lapse Test.

I'm currently testing PP CS4 to see if we're going to get it for work over Final Cut.

Running i7 920, 6GB RAM, 1TB raid 0 and Vista 64.

Tried compressing 1 hour of SD video for time lapse by 8000% and it just hangs, i get a reasonable preview until 4000% and then it won't play back.

Under Movie Maker I can get a smooth preview a max speed (around 8000%)?!!

I'm only running on 1 HDD but still why is it that Movie Maker beats PP CS4?!

I smell bloatware....

To be honest I'm new to CS4 and haven't used PP for a couple of years. So it could easily be operator error.

By left clicking on the clip I crank up the speed/duration by 8000%.

Actually never mind, I found the time remapping control, I think I figured it out. rogar-Dum(DBG)::embarasse

I did notice that time remapping only lets me speed things up by 1000%

be sure to right click on the clip and uncheck "frame blending" if you want a time-lapsey quick look

Do you have after effects?, it handles time wonderful and give very good control of things its good for heavy or extreme time work
