Movie Magic Screenwriter -- question / help needed

Any MMS (version 6.0) experts here? Looking for a solution to a problem. At some point I spelled the name of a character wrong in dialog, then got it right. Now when I start typing that character's name for dialog the popup appears showing both the incorrect and the correct spelling. I want to get rid of the incorrect spelling from the dialog character name popup list. --randall

I have no idea what version I'm using...

Go to "Format".
In the second group of things is "Hide Names In Pop Up List" - click on that.

In the left column are all of the names in your script. Move 'em to the right column and they no longer show up in the pop up list.

There's another way also, to replace the name to the correct name -- go to

SEARCH

on top of the page and when you click on it you will see

SEARCH & REPLACE

put in the old spelling and then change it to the new spelling and everywhere on your script it will replace it, including Character names.

Thanks Bill! Problem fixed! In my version 6.0 of MMS it was in the 'View' menu, then near the bottom of the View droplist submenu was the option 'Hide Names in Popup List' and then I was able to do what you said, viz move the incorrectly spelled name to the right column of names to hide from the popup character names.

Charli I was actually looking to fix the popup name list when starting to type a character's name for dialog. But S&R is of course good for changing a name once seeded throughout a script.

There's another way ... SEARCH & REPLACE
put in the old spelling and then change it to the new spelling and everywhere on your script it will replace it, including Character names.
