Hey
Im not much of an editor, but Im trying to get the hang of it so I can update my cinematography reel
I have vegas 9 and I recently got some footage from final cut pro as pro res 422 hq then it was burned as an .mov on a disc
Anyways my editing program says it doesn't support the format?
So I cant get the clips off of the disc?
its wierd because in the past I got other footage as pro ress 422 in a .mov wrapper ?
what am I missing here?
any thoughts?

thanks

Do you have quicktime installed?

On windows, you may need the ProRes decoder installed as well

1. Install the latest version of quicktime. This will allow Vegas 9 to use anything Quicktime knows about, including ProRes.

2. If that fails, then find out what codec was used inside that .mov file. And you'll need that same codec on the PC with Vegas.

3. If that codec is AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) then you'll need something else done with it on the Mac, as that codec is not available for PCs.
