MOV v.s AVI widescreen

So i noticed that when you export a 16:9 clip using the quicktime dv/dvcpro NTSC codec out of premiere and import it back into your project the MOV clip by default uses 1.212 as apposed ot the 1.2 aspect ratio that normal DV AVIs use. If you have two identical clips but one is a MOV and the other a AVI you can actually seee that the MOV has wider pixels becasue the image is more pulled. Which one is right? Even if its not a noticble diffrence without comparing two sources this is very upsetting to think all my videos i have done could be .012 off.

Weird. I've never used QT to export and then reimport. (I stuck with AVIs.)
Can you just scale the .mov clip down a bit horizontally?
Or- right click the clip in your project window (to find it easily in a big project, right click the clip in your timeline and choose Reveal in Project- I love that!). Okay, so right click the clip in your project window and choose Interpret Footage. Under Pixel Aspect Ratio, select Conform to 1.2.
Let us know if this works!

I could conform it by inerpreting the footage as 1.2 hoever, natviley the MOVs want to be at 1.212 whihc seems to be more precise than avi get to. My question is whihc one is correct. does anamorphic dv footage have a true aspect ratio of 1.2 or 1.212 the diffrence in PARs doesnt show up significantly enough for me to judge that one is the distorted as compared ot eh other
