.mov quality concerns

Hello. I exported my project from PP through the media encoder into a .mov file. I didn't change any of the pre-sets and went along with the export. Everything went smooth. But afterward when I checked the file, the size was in the 900 MB (It's supposed to be larger isn't it?), and the quality was poor (the quality is supposed to better isn't it?).

When the real player was shrunk to a small size the video was clear, but when I enlarged the player, the video became very blurry. The audio seemed OK.

Anyway I am hoping someone can offer some incite on how to fix this problem. And it has to be an .mov file. I currently have the file in .mpeg form which is about 3.5gb and is in good quality using winamp, even in a large window.

Thanks for the help

The results you get totally depend on the settings you used. If you're using PPro 2.0, go to File>Export>Movie>Settings. Change the file type to Quicktime. Then under video settings, tell it to use a decent codec, such as H264, Sorenson 3, Animation, etc. Uncheck the "recompress" box, and make sure the proper resolution and pixel aspect ratio are selected. Click "ok," and continue with the export. You should end up with a huge, but nice looking Quicktime. Good luck!

Are you using Real Player? If you are, try playing it back with a decent program, and see if it looks better. Often using the wrong program or decoder will produce bad results.
