.mov lip synch issue

I'm using Vegas 6 and imported a fairly uncompressed .mov file that is using a 48k 16-bit Big Endian audio format. I am noticing issues with lip synch in Vegas (the issues are not there when playing the file in QUickTime player).

Any suggestions? I modified my audio preferences to 48K 16-bit, but to no avail...

Sync drifting, or consistently off?

If it's consistently off, unlock the audio from the video and shift it a bit.

If it's drifting (getting progressively worse), you could try unlocking it from the video and stretching/shrinking it to fit.
