mov. files, import, edit, export?

Thats the just of it, I might do some editing for somebody but all of his stuff is edited on a mac, basically compressed as a mov. file and stuck onto an external. I know I can import the stuff into premiere 1.5, aside from it needing to be rendered, once i'm finished doing my thing how can i export it in a lossless fashion since its already been compressed??

couldn't you just export it in an uncompressed avi file? Unfortunatlely, you aren't gonna get better quality than his .mov compressed version, but if you export in uncompressed .avi and converted the files to .mov using a 3rd party converter, you can achieve some great quality video.
