Mounting my Senn 100ENG receiver to DVX

How do you all (y'all) mount your 100ENG receiver to your DVX? I was expecting it to come with a velcro strap. I don't think I want to use the hard mount supplied, just because I need my shoe for a light. (I also need a new gym membership so I can carry all this stuff).

I have seen some people mount the reciever on the side of their lens hood via some velcro. If you have a DVRIG PRO, There is a mount with a velcro strap to keep the reciever in place on the rig. There are other types of brackets such as the DV Bracket $169.95 at EVS. Also there is the BEC-500 for Sennheiser Evolution kits for 69.95 also at EVS and then there is the Bracket 1 which is just a piece of bent metal that you would mount the receiver too and they are charging 69.95 for that.

So you do have some options and then again you can probably go to Lowes or Home Depot and get material to make your own mount as well.

I've seen velcro on the back of batteries, and the receiver back there. My personal fave for emergencies, clipped to the hand-guard. Leaves a nasty imprint on your hand, but it works

I just clip them to the hand strap. You can fit 2 on there if you want. I usually don't handhold the camera, so it's not a problem. Even when I handheld it was no problem.

Sumfun: I am guessing you had to put a clip on the receiver to do that right?

Sirius Doggy: Can you still use that bracket with the camera on a tripod and did you have to buy a reciever holder to attach it to the bracket 1?

I bought a "Bracket 1" from EVS Online for the dvx (bracket1.com) which is a mounting bracket that attaches to the dvx via the tripod mounting holes (and tripod quick release mounts similarly to bottom of Bracket 1), and then attached a hot shoe receiver (from an old still camera) to the Bracket 1 using two SS screws. Then I used the Senn hot shoe mount to attach the receiver to the hot shoe on the Bracket 1. It works great and looks good as well. Let me know if you need me to post a photo.

Yes - the bottom of that bracket plate attaches to the camera then your tripod plate screws into it. It's threaded on the bottom. Kind of hard to explain but I leave it on my camera all the time and use my tripod a good bit.
As for mounting the receiver, my receiver had mounting screws on the back side that line up with the generic holes on the bracket. so it just attaches to the side.
