Can I use my Bogen 316 Head quick release plate?

Do you know how heavy this is?

It weighs more than the my dvx still inside my pelican 1550- no joke.

It may have been overkill. I think I can sell it and buy two tripods. But does anyone even use the Bogen 316? Anyone shooot on huge beta or 35? HEhe.

Hehe, I got the Glidecam 4000. It's not in yet though. And i'm just thinking ahead if I have to get any other additional parts.

Re: Mounting Cam to Glidecam.

I thought it didn't work with Glidecams because the little lever hits the plate. ???

Re: Mounting Cam to Glidecam.

Sweet. Maybe I wasn't a careful reader, but I do remember Disjecta mentioning it once before that's why I thought to ask.

This should be a good thread for people thinking about the GLidecam now. You've all been very helpful in aiding me make a decision with a lot of money. Thanks guy.s

John, I'm not following this...

"You don't put the whole thing in there

Just the little 'release plate' part."

I'm not sure what John is reffering to but what I did is set the lever that tightens on the baseplate to fully tighten with a 180 - 90 degree turn. So being that close to the glidecam's mounting plate wasn't a problem. I hope my description made sense.
