Mounting an Anamorphic

I'm no expert when it comes to lenses and so i hired a cameraman for a previous project who mounted my anamorphic lens onto my camera and he shot with it for a couple weeks then i took over and have been using it for the past 6 months exactly the way he set it up.
Now i am working on a different project and during a shoot last week the camera fell off the tripod and the anamorphic lens needed repair. the camera shop repaired it and mounted it fine, however, it now looks vertically elongated as opposed to the way it looked from the camera beforehand. I never had a problem with my shotgun (on the cam) appearing in frame, but now i cant have it mounted without it showing...so, if anyone has any insight into what might be going on, I would be so very grateful to hear from you.
note: I am currently shooting in a village in Tanzania, so my technical options and professional resources are very limited.

Thank you!

I'm not too familiar with the anamorphic, but have you tried scooting your mic back in the shockmount to get it out of frame? What mic are you using? I thought the footage from an anamorphic adapter looked squeezed until you viewed it on a 16x9 monitor, or edited in a 16x9 project in your NLE?

It does unless you have the "B" and have the LCD/EVF set it up for 16:9 preview.

So, if lil filmstress is using a regular 100 or 100A, then there isn't really a problem going on at all, except for the mic coming into frame?

thanks for the responses...i am using a 100, and the only reason i feel confused right now is that the mic never used to be in frame before the lens was taken off, and now the mic has to be scooted back farther than before...so that led me to wonder if the lens was possibly put back on 90 degrees off.
however, it looks like it only goes on one way, like pdx dvx had mentioned. i took it back to the repair man who took it apart and showed me how it works, so there is only one way to mount it...i just cant seem to figure out why there is such a difference in the proportions i was used to seeing to what i now see. i dont know, maybe there's lsd in the water here or something...

thanks for your input guys.
