Mounting a laptop to the tripod...?

I've been looking at 7" monitors and I love their size and portability, but they seem to be just a little better than the built in screen as far as resolution...?

Instead, I'm looking into buying a Macbook Pro and some HD monitoring software for 1-1 pixel monitoring. I downloaded a demo and was impressed by the resolution. I also think a laptop would be doubly useful when out and about...

As a Macbook will be quite a heavy thing - I'm wondering what solutions there may be for mounting such a big lump like this onto the tripod or near it...?

I'm wondering about later setups where the camera might be moving and the focus puller needs to see the laptop monitor, etc?

I recall one post from someone who uses a Manfrotto Utility Tray to hold a laptop. It's only about $30.

look at the ikan 8000hd. ihave one on order and their resolution is WAY teh hell better than any other budget monitor and a good deal better than a laptop
