Mounting a 416 Mic??

Hello,
I have Sennheiser 416 mic which I can't mount on the DVX's additional mic holder due to its length and the french flag and Matte box being in the way. Is there any way of mounting it to the side of the camera, a bit like the Bracket 1 for radio mics?

I use the "rubber band" holder from Professional Sound (PSC) in Valencia, CA. It mounts high enough off of the hot shoe, to miss french flag on my Chrosziel mattebox. Normally I use the mic on a boom. Hope this helps.

You can mount it in the hot shoe with the MZSCAM for $37.50:

Or off the body with the Videosmith MR-01 for $47 with the addition of the above unit. It's like an extended flash bracket that you hold in you left hand (But then you give up manual-focusing with that hand).

Yes it has a standard screw mount.
