Mountain Snow,

This picture was taken from the hill behind my house in Thousand Oaks. All the rain we had last week left some snow behind.

Nice! Thats so funny because I live in Santa Maria now (used to live in Thousand Oaks a few years back) and I drove to just north of Santa Babs to pick her up yesterday and she pointed out the snowcapped mountains. "See, look at the mountains." And, I thought, man that would be a great photo! I mean, you usually don't think of snow capped majestic mountains in Southern California.

Beautiful.

Thanks, I saw another shot yesterday that I would like to get. Getting on the 23 North this same mountain with two palm trees in front of it. I may try for that one this afternoon.

Yawn. You Californians and your snow.

lol.

I'm actually a born and bred 100% New Yorker. I just lived here in my 20s, left, then came back here now in my 30's. So, yeah, seeing snow far in the distance where it can't cause me to slide into a guardrail against my will...it is a big deal for me.

So Boston has a lot of mountains I know. And of course drifting snow and blowing wind are much more acceptable than Mountains and palm trees at the same time. Of course growing up in Michigan and getting my butt kicked by 40 mph winds and ice is always a good thing. So i wouldn't know a thing about winter at all.

Much easier to take pictures of snow far away in my t shirt and shorts than to take my gloves off, pull my stocking cap up over my eyeball and snap a shot. Oh yeah!

I live out on the East End in the Inland Empire (Rancho Cucamonga - yes, there really is a Cucamonga :cheesy:). We had snow on the mountains yesterday...

While I'm at it, I might as well show a sunset from last week (gotta love the SoCal air quality)...
