Mount For Shop Light?

I have several pro flo tubes that are 3200k, but I don't have the budget to purchase any of the pro fixtures as of right now (looking at cool lights most likely). So my question is what have you used to mount your shop lights? I have several C-Stands that I can use for them, but I haven't really come up with a "good" way to connect them to the C-Stands. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am shooting some green screen work on Monday and would like to have a solution figured out by the weekend. Thanks in advance!

You could drill through the body of it and mount two c-clamps. You should be able to find something close to a c-clamp at the hardware store. A trunnion would be the bomb for this, but take what you can get, right? I suppose if you have an arm on the stand you could start to get some angle options.

Too bad you don't have more time or I'd have more ideas to contribute. Given that you have this weekend to get something working, first question is: do you know anyone that can weld? One idea would be to find something close to 5/8" pipe and have someone cut off about an 8" section and weld it to a 1/8" thick steel plate say about 4" x 5" and then bolt that to the back of the fixture. You can then mount this in a grip head and you're done. If you don't know a welder or can't get that done this weekend, then I would stroll the aisles of home depot looking for some suitable way to mount a right angle pipe off the back of the units. That's about all the quick solutions I can think of without repeating any of the others already mentioned.

If your c-stands have arms then cut a couple slot holes 1/4 of the way from each end of the shoplight... like this on the back... l l

Then get some hose clamps (about .75 each) and tighten them down to about the size of the arm tube of the c-stand.

At the plug end the shoplight will overlap to the stand itself... as well as the knuckle holding the arm... use that area + the height of the stand to aim the light.

Simple.

If you have any other kind of superclamp or normal clamp from the video industry... then you can simply slide your shoplight (with hose clamp "loops") down on the c-stand arm and then use the superclamp to hold it wherever you aim the light...

If you are lucky enough to have an Ikea near by, you could use these (I have). They are basicly a small baby plate. The large "leg" unscrews to reveal a bolt welded to a plate with six holes for screws. Just bolt the plate to the back of the shoplight in the balance center and you can mount those to a c-stand gobo no problem.

Sorry for the delay, I never got a notification anyone else had posted here.

These are some great ideas. I will grab the hardware for a couple of these setups and give them a try! Thank you all for taking the time!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I do have arms for the C-Stands. Thanks again!
