Motion question

Im trying to apply a glow filter to one part of the shot, specifically at the end of a cigarette, and then track that part as it moves through out the shot so the glow filter stays with the cigarette.

any suggestions?

Are you saying you'd like to do this effect in Motion? It would be quite tedious if there are is a lot of movement. Other programs like After Effects or Commotion would be better suited. AE has a motion tracker which lets you define an area then automatically track it frame by frame. It does a good job, but sometime you have to help it.
We just released a Motion tutorial that can offer some insight, but I think the keyframing in Motion is rather weak for this type of work. Although Motion does have some very cool burning type effects and preset that make life way easier, it's no AE killer.
