Motion graphics in PP 2.0?

Is it possible to create motion graphics-type effects in Premiere Pro 2.0? i need to edit a piece with shots moving across the background while another shot plays. Is this an After Effects job or can Premiere do it?

Simple keyframe. Change the opacity, scale and position in the Motion menu.

Thanks. It seems like a lot of work to achieve a relatively simple (yet important)effect. I'm surprised Adobe hasn't included an easier way to do it.

I don't know what is hard about it. You set a start keyframe and an end keyframe.....add some rotation perhaps....there are certainly much harder effects to do.

Yeah its relatively easy - theres also a plugin called "moving picture" it makes it a little bit simpler to do scales and moves but you lose some of your finite positioning ability you have in the motion control panel. I usually prefer to just use the motion controls.
