Motion graphics -> DVD -> film screen best quality compression

I just made a 30 second short intro for a local film fest, and I want to make sure I have the best possible image. Its all been done in after effects so far...

should I export as an avi into premiere pro, and use it to make a DVD?

What is the best settings I could choose from to create it?
