I am still learning how to use after effects, but I want to make a professional looking motion graphic in After effects and I am wondering how to go about doing that, any tips??


Here an example how what I want to make.. (the logo at the end)

also would I start in Illustrator in designing the graphic or photoshop?

Start in illustrator as its vector which that logo looks like. In fact, I'd recommend doing your logo in vector anyway so that you can use it in many forms w/o having to worry about degradation.

In regards to the motion graphics, it looks like a simple move. Just keyframe the logo in the back position, then do create the next keyframe a bit far away and move the logo closer to the camera. Pretty simple actually..

What I seen in the video was real basic motion graphics that could be done in FCP, Premiere, After Effects or Vegas. Premiere Pro and AE can import native Illustrator files.

I was also wondering, if there is any good plug in for after effects for good professional looking "font"..
