Motion Export ?

I would like to know when exporting a motion project as a quicktime movie does it automatically fill the background with black ? I made a motion title on a transparent layer (i think) but when importing it to FCP the background is black and not transparent. Is it possible to export just the title without the black ?

I don't know how to export a movie with transparency, but if you save it as a "motion file" and import that into final cut, the background can be transparent.

You have to set the background opacity to 0% in the project preferences and export with a setting that support alpha channel (DV don't); Lossless with Alpha is ok but you will have to render it in the FCP timeline
