Motion blur?

I just started playing around with the motion blur envelope in Vegas today. I finally understood why there wasn't a difference when I unchecked the bypass motion tab on the track since I wasn't adding the blur effect in a video bus track. I'm curious to know whether people only use it for certain text or the dreamy supersampling effects or if it's been used for just simple dialogue in a short where people are talking and moving at a regular conversational speed. I know this is something done to taste and not something you have to do but I kinda like to have a slight motion blur in my clips. What are you guys using it mostly for?

I use m-blur mostly as special effect.
Connecting with dreamy and mistified scene atmosphere or simmilar.

Thanks for replying. I was wondering if people used it also for heightening that filmic motion natural blur on regular shots.
