"motion blur", like Gladiator

What is "motion blur" supposed to convey?

I am beta testing this effect for someone. Occassionally, I see the diffference, but overall, I wonder if/what I am seeing at all?

I got the impression that this effect was supposed to be similiar in nature to a fight scene in Gladiator. Where do you think this effect is appropriate for?

beta testing motion blur? Can you explain a bit more clearly?

Re: "motion blur", like Gladiator

Gladiator used a reduced shutter angle (faster shutter speed) On the DVX set the shutter speed as high as it will go if you want this effect.
Motion blur within FCP relates to when a clip is moved around you want it to blur naturally. This takes more render power but looks better.

Sorry about that. I probably didn't write that correctly. Basically G. Nattress is adding motion blur to Film Effects 2.0. I asked if I could try out what he has "in progress." Some clips, I could see a bit of difference, but some I'm not sure what I saw.

hmm, thanks for your response. It seemed to me, "blur" wasn't quite the word to describe the effect I saw..

anyhow, if you own FE already, I think he is welcome to have others try it out.
